No. 10

Internet Hypnosis!
Need I say more. It's amazing that we, with computers of course, have the opportunity to share images and thoughts with those watching, reading, judging.
I told my mom I am a blogger and she thought I was doing some new drug. Her comment made my brain tickle. She occasionally checks her email at the library when she can con the attendant into bumping her name up the list. The 30-minute restriction plays with her senses. I still like paper and shoving my face into a newly printed book makes me high with interest, not fumes. I made this illustration for the Courier News to accompany a story on Internet hypnosis. Let us start a conversation. Is print journalism obsolete to you?

No, not obsolete. I think, I hope, that it shall remain. Instant gratification (internet, computers, robots) is nice, safe, and convenient. You cannot compare a buzzing monitor to a freshly printed newspaper, magazine, or book. Some of the magazine I order such as Communication Arts or Print, care so much about the presentation from cover to cover. The feel, the smell, the colors. I love especially when companies explore papers that are not so common. Check out Curios Collection Papers by Arjowiggins. I have developed a liking for paper more than the average Joe, due to my line of work, so this is obviously a sided opinion.
